Isle of Sheppey man jailed for 10 years for sexual abuse of two teenagers

Sam Crawley, 45, of Eastchurch, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on 16 October 2026 after a jury found him guilty of repeatedly sexually abusing two teenage victims between 2015 and 2016.

Crawley was convicted of nine counts of sexual assault, two counts of assault by penetration, and causing a person to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity without consent. He had denied all allegations before the jury returned guilty verdicts.

Kent Police said the two victims reported the offences, prompting an investigation that led to Crawley’s arrest in May 2019.

Crawley, of Church Road, Eastchurch, on the Isle of Sheppey, received a 10-year custodial sentence. The court also imposed an indefinite restraining order and a Sexual Risk Order, a civil order designed to protect the public from a person considered to pose a risk of sexual harm.
